THE DOWNSTAIRS MIXUP

Hi Everyone

This has taken me a while to update hasn’t it? Well I finally have something to offer - the first hour from my new CIRCUS Promo Mix.

Its a slight departure from the usual Downstairs Mixup sound but I like to play differently at the club. This mix is meant to represent the music I play there in an extended form.

CIRCUS has a bumper lineup this Easter Sunday with headliner Andy Cato of Groove Armada taking over the Theatre with support from Eric Prydz, Yousef and Lewis Boardman. A Crosstown Rebels special supplies the minimal in The Loft featuring Damian Lazarus, Seth Toxler and Jamie Jones.

Last but not least (and the most important if you favour the sounds of this Podcast) the launch of ‘Disco Circus’ with Alex Wolfenden, Paul Outlar and myself supplying the super duper disco and house!

A new night is starting in Liverpool shortly with none other than DFA’s ‘Mock & Toof‘ a pair of Producers who’s music I have supported in a previous Podcast. This is a great booking for the city and a great way to bounce back after the sad closure of Geisha. Also on the line up is another friend of TDM, Paul Outlar plus a whole host of other DJs with various musical tastes to flick your proverbial switches!

This little Podcast goes on tour on Friday 15th February 2008 leaving the confides of the house and reappearing in Liverpool’s beautiful new bar/restaurant Geisha. Outlar has kindly invited me down so the whole night is being recorded and used for the next episode which should be available from the end of February or beginning of March.

If you’re out and about try and drop by for a few drinks and say hello (just not while I’m playing as I’m bound to be nervous having not DJed anywhere for over a year)!
